What Is the Way of the Hunter 2 Heirloom Pack?
The Way of the Hunter 2 heirloom pack is the announced pre-order bonus DLC for Way of the Hunter 2, the follow-up to Nine Rocks Games' open-world hunting simulator. Like the bonus packs offered for the original game, it rewards early buyers with exclusive in-game content themed around the series' hunting-legacy storyline.
Video Highlights:

- Confirms the pack as a pre-order bonus for Way of the Hunter 2
- Showcases themed gear associated with the heirloom concept
- Available ahead of the game's launch window
In the original Way of the Hunter, pre-order and edition bonuses typically included a signature rifle, outfit items, and other themed cosmetics. The heirloom pack for the sequel follows the same pattern: content that looks distinctive but stays rooted in the game's realistic hunting aesthetic rather than granting gameplay-breaking advantages.
Pre-order bonus details such as exact item lists can shift between announcement and launch. Always confirm contents on the official store page for your platform before purchasing.
Expected Contents of the Heirloom Pack
While the full item list should be verified on the official listing, pre-order packs in the Way of the Hunter series have historically followed a consistent structure. Based on how the original game handled its bonus DLC, here is what the heirloom pack is expected to include:
| Content Type | Description | Expected Impact |
|---|---|---|
| Signature weapon | Themed rifle or sidearm with unique finish | Cosmetic, standard stats |
| Hunter outfit | Heirloom-style clothing set | Cosmetic only |
| Gear accessories | Themed binoculars, calls, or equipment skins | Cosmetic only |
| Lodge items | Decorations or display pieces | Cosmetic, optional |
Be cautious of third-party sites claiming to sell the heirloom pack separately or listing "codes" for it. Pre-order DLC is only legitimately obtained through official platform stores.

Pre-Order Bonus vs. Edition Bonuses
Way of the Hunter 2 offers different purchase tiers, and it is important to understand where the heirloom pack fits among them:
Standard Edition
- Base game
- Heirloom Pack pre-order bonus
- Best value for most players
Deluxe / Gold Edition
- Base game plus season content
- Heirloom Pack included
- Future DLC expansions bundled
Post-Launch Purchase
- Heirloom Pack generally not sold separately
- Standard editions lose the bonus
- Buy before launch to secure it
| Purchase Option | Heirloom Pack Included | Extra Content | Recommended For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard (pre-order) | Yes | None | Casual hunters |
| Deluxe (pre-order) | Yes | Season pass / DLC | Long-term players |
| Standard (after launch) | No | None | Late buyers |
Pre-order bonuses reward early commitment, while edition bonuses reward higher spending. The heirloom pack belongs to the first category — timing matters more than tier.
